However, if you already own swim fins or any other kind of fins, a two-component set often offers better quality for the same price.

Buying a snorkel set is a great idea if you are just starting out with snorkeling and don’t have any snorkeling gear, yet, or if you don’t want or need to pick out each part individually. Buying snorkel, snorkel mask, and snorkel fins separately is a better if you have specific requirements for your equipment or want to get the best of each items.

I really like Aldi sets (you know, the ones you find in the middle grab section) and have even used them as rental equipment when we ran out of our more premium scuba masks.
