Get ready for your liveaboard safari with our Boat Diver specialty course. Diving from boats is a lot of fun and a fundamental skill every diver should possess.
However, for some people the thought of jumping into the sea in a backward roll or from the deck is daunting. This course will take your fear and help you enjoy your dives in the future. The course covers the following topics:
- Introduction to boat diving
- Fundamentals and terminology
- Entry & Exit techniques
- Tips and tricks for your next liveaboard safari
Each course module will teach you more about boat diving and help you become a better diver. Let’s look at each module and what it covers.
Theory basics
Before going diving from boats, it is interesting and fun to understand more about how they work and what they offer to divers.
Entry & Exit techniques
Getting in and out of the water can be a little tricky as a boat diver.
In order to do it safely and in a relaxed manner, we show you entry and exit techniques every diver needs to know.
We provide examples of different types of big and small boats, usually encountered on diving trips around the world.
Boat Diver Training
It’s time to dive! If you choose the optional boat dives you will now get to practice what you have learned.
Please note that these dives are not available at all locations so make sure to select one that does.
If you passed all the course modules and the theory test, you will receive your Boat Diver specialty certification!
