The Nitrox Basic course is our most requested specialty! Nitrox is so common around the world that we even offer the option to do the Open Water Diver using it.
In our opinion, the Nitrox Basic course should be the next course right after learning to dive.
It covers the following topics:

- How do we dive using Nitrox?
- MOD, MOP & Best Mix
- Scuba Gear for Nitrox diving
- Nitrox for tech diving
Each course module will teach you more about diving with Nitrox and helps you become a better diver. Let’s look at each module and what it covers.
What is Nitrox?
Enriched Air Nitrox allows you to dive with a higher content of oxygen in your tank.
Now if this were the only answer then you would not have to take this course, right?
Learn about the benefits and even some drawbacks to using this special gas after your Nitrox certification so you can decide for yourself when you want to utilize it.
Diving with Nitrox
MOP, MOD, Best Mix…what is it? and how do we use it?
We show you how to go Nitrox diving safely and effectively. If you are a tech diver or aspire to be, this is also a great starting point for using different breathing gases and getting into decompression diving.
Nitrox Diver Training
The Nitrox Basic course is a theory-only course.
We will show you other things, however, such as measuring the oxygen content in your tank and marking your tanks when using Nitrox.
If you truly want to try out Nitrox diving underwater, we can add an extra dive during the course.
Once you passed all the course modules and the theory test, you will receive your Nitrox Basic certification!
