Dive Planning
Plan your dive, dive the plan.
You have heard this before and it is very true in regard to searching -and hopefully finding- anything that was lost underwater. First, you need to determine the objectives of your search.
Most often you have time to prepare in advance. At other times, for example, when searching for people, you have to make ad-hoc decisions.
Using digital aids and tools has become very important for scuba divers and we introduce cool tools to you to make your mission a success.
Search & Find
In this module, you learn the different search patterns, their pros and cons, and when to use which ones.
Of course, you have plenty of time to practice them, too. We will teach you various search patterns for divers and show you other things you can do.
If you are planning to become a Master Diver or Dive Leader, this course is a great preparation as these search patterns will be very useful again then.
Search & Recovery in Practice
It’s time to dive!
There are course options for 2 or 4 dives to complete your underwater search training.
In practice scenarios, you need to decide how to best find what you are looking for.
It’s challenging but a lot of fun!
Once you passed all the course modules and the theory test, you will receive your Search & Recovery specialty certification!

Your dive instructor evaluates your skills during and after the course. Once you passed all the course modules, diving practice, and theory tests, you will become a certified Search & Recovery!
